If you are choosing between Rasasi Hawas and Hawas Ice, you are choosing between two of our biggest sellers: Hawas Ice is the best-selling perfume in our store, and the original Hawas for Him ranks fourth in our sales ranking. They share a bottle shape and much of their DNA, but they are not the same scent. Here is how they differ, which one suits Indian weather, and what to buy while the original is out of stock with us.
Key takeaways
- The original Hawas for Him (2015) is out of stock on our store as of 15 October 2026; Hawas Ice is in stock at ₹3,250.
- Ice keeps the apple, plum, orange blossom and cardamom of the original but swaps cinnamon for star anise and drops the watery heart.
- In the base, Ice uses moss and amber where the original has ambergris and patchouli.
- For peak summer, Hawas Ice Freeze and Hawas Kobra are the closest in-stock alternatives; for winter evenings, try Hawas Elixir.

What actually changes
The opening. Both start with apple, bergamot and lemon. The original adds cinnamon, which gives it a faint warm spice; Ice adds star anise instead, a cooler, slightly liquorice-like spice. That single swap is a big part of why Ice reads “colder”.
The heart. Both have plum, orange blossom and cardamom. The original also lists watery notes, which is where its aquatic, sea-breeze character comes from. Ice has no watery notes, so it comes across as fruitier and more aromatic than marine.
The base. Both end on musk and driftwood. The original adds ambergris and patchouli for a salty, earthy finish; Ice uses moss and amber, a smoother, slightly greener dry-down.
In short, the original is the more aquatic and spicy of the two, and Ice is crisper and fruitier. Neither is an eau de toilette: both are 100ml eaux de parfum, so how long they last on you depends more on your skin and the weather than on which one you pick.
Which suits Indian weather?
- Summer (April–September): both were made for heat. Ice’s crisp apple and star anise feel especially clean in dry heat, while the original’s watery heart suits humid coastal cities.
- Monsoon: keep to one or two sprays of either; humidity makes scent feel heavier.
- Winter: both work on mild days, but neither is a cosy winter scent. For cold evenings, Hawas Elixir (below) is the warmer member of the family.
- Office vs evening: Ice is the safer office choice – clean, fruity and not sweet. For evenings out, you may want something with more warmth.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Hawas Ice better than Hawas?
Neither is better; they suit different tastes. Choose Ice for a crisper, fruitier freshness and the original for a more aquatic scent with a hint of spice. On our store, Ice outsells the original.
Is Hawas Ice good for summer in India?
Yes. Its apple, citrus and star anise opening feels cool and clean in the heat, and it is our best-selling perfume overall.
Does Hawas Ice smell the same as the original Hawas?
No. They share apple, bergamot, lemon, plum, orange blossom, cardamom, musk and driftwood, but Ice replaces cinnamon with star anise, drops the watery notes and finishes on moss and amber instead of ambergris and patchouli.
When will the original Hawas be back in stock?
We can’t promise a date. Check the Rasasi collection or contact us.
